Festival of Trees (part 2)

So after the Lights on Parties festivities it's late and everyone goes home to their warm homes and beds... not us!!! We head right on out to South Towne to load up our batch of trees from the Festival that we deliver bright and early the next morning!
I don't know why everything is so funny when it is late and you are tired, but it is!
Avery was playing out in the snow at Industrial where we picked up the truck for the trees to go in.
Bright and EARLY the next morning on our way to start delivering! Things are not quite so funny anymore when it is morning time!
Taking the first tree out! That's the boys job...
Then the girls 'fluff'...
and set up all the surrounding goodies!
The finished product!!

My favorite are the wonderful stories behind all the trees. This one was a friend of my mom's bff Marie (she's the boss lady :)). He died at age 15 after a long battle with cancer. What a great way to remember someone you have lost.
This tree was awesome! It was a guitar hero tree and we delivered it to the Rondald McDonald house in SLC
The whole bunch! That's one part I love! All the fun people we get to see once a year! We have a party that's fo sho!
My dad is so sweet to donate his truck and time for this wonderful cause! One of the places we delivered was on Social Hall Ave and he had to back down the street! I would be stressed out of my mind! (it is a tiny road!) He did such a great job!
Running on little sleep... it is best to not even sit down because it is difficult to get back up :) Is this how all you mothers out there feel??
In front of another wonderful tree... There is always 1 tree every year that gives us a little bit of a stink, this was it for this year! The tree was too tall for the space it needed to go in- yes, we scratched the ceiling trying to make it fit- oopsie! So the handy boys took a hacksaw and sawed off the bottom of the tree to make it shorter! How clever are they??
Lots of fun but...When it is all over all we want to do is go home and sleep!!!!!
