Its that time of year again... Mother's day/A Race For the Cure. What a wonderful way to start Mother's Day off, to celebrate the best mom in the world... MINE! (sorry everybody else:))This year our group was a little smaller than usual, but still lots of fun!
My cute mom and dad a.k.a. Chuck Norris (Avery's label) Aren't they just adorable?
Justin and I at the starting line (the last time I see him until the end of the race ha ha)
Me and Owen. I'm just squeezing every ounce out of him... 18 days left... I have cried myself to sleep several times already. I know, I need a life. I love him, what can I say?
The pictures don't do it justice but- the feeling of looking ahead of you and looking behind you and not seeing an end to all the people running/walking this race is a wonderful feeling. There are so many people affected by breast cancer. I get emotional walking this, reading peoples shirts- lots of them in memory of a lost loved one, and today seeing a lady bald from chemo- still out there running- right in the midst of her battle. It is a sobering experience. You feel united with people you don't even know. And I... I feel thankful that my mom survived her fight with cancer. She kicked its butt actually. And she has fought it every day since she was diagnosed 3 years ago. Yup, she is in pain EVERYDAY from her mastectomy's! But she battles right on, I'm so thankful (selfishly) that she does! She is soooo brave.
And here she is; my walking buddy, my bestest friend, my confidant, my best example, my hero, my MOM!! She is so important to me and I TRULY do not know what I would do without her! I love her so much and I'm so proud of her!!I love you mom!! Happy mothers day to the best mom around. I don't deserve you but I'll cherish you every day I have you! Thank you to Heavenly Father that it will be a long time to come.

What a great post! You are such a sweetheart. I really enjoyed reading this and hearing you talk about it today. I seriously think the world of you. I'm glad you were able to help support all these people and so many more, especially your sweet mom. BTW~ I was NOT late to my appointment today. Thank you for making my toes sparkle. :)
