So... My cute mom turned fifty last week!!! I have been working for months and months to give her the huge sha-bang that she deserves for such an event! Even though she has been saying for weeks she DID NOT want a party or anything, everything was already in the works! For once, I didn't care what she wanted, she was getting a big deal made of her (she is always the one planning the parties for everyone else and this time... it was her turn!)
I really didn't think I could surprise her but after much lying (something I really can't do, especially to my mom) and lots of help from the fam, we surprised the crap out of her!! I had a huge open house with lots of friends and family and it could not have turned out more perfect!
After all my stressing out and literally months of laying awake at night worrying how everything would work out, it did! I should have listened to my husband all along! We flew gug home, which made my mom bawl, decorated the house so cute, had lots of yummy food, and then had a family dinner and party the next day (her actual birthday)
My family is always teasing me about all the games and 'programs' I make them do for all my stupid parties... here is yet another one, a trivia game with questions all about mom!Happy birthday to the hottest 50year old I know (ok I'll stop saying 50 and rubbing it in your face now.) My mom is my bestest friend and I love her so much!
