I Left My Heart In SAN FRANSISCO!!

My awesome brother Nicholas has lived in Cali for EIGHT years and we have never been to visit! (easier to fly one person home then 10 to Cali I guess).  I decided that it was time we changed that!!  I said "I'm going with or without ya'll!"  Thankfully, I got a few people to come with me and we literally had the time of our life!!  Hence the PICTURE OVERLOAD!  I wanted to remember each and every wonderful memory!!
We flew in late (left SLC at like 9:30 PM).  All 5 of us crammed in Gug's versa (luggage included) and were off to our hotel... THE PALACE!  We stayed here because my dad's altime fav movie was filmed in the room above.  It was beautiful!
Sitting, talking, laughing already at 1am when we got settled in to our hotel.
Can you see my cute new purple suitcase I bought for the trip?? :)
Yes, I am actually posting a pic of me in the shower... and yes, I actually shower with that fruity shower cap to protect my hair... but how cute is this shower curtain?!?  Love that you can chit chat with the people outside he he he.  We got up-close and personal with 4 people sharing one bathroom!
First morning Gug picked us up and drove us over this hill while he played the "Full House" theme on his phone.  Over the hill was...the famous "Painted Ladies" from the sitcom.  SO cute!

SOOOO fun to see my brother's cute house! And cute it was!!

 His "backyard"

How fun is this crazily painted house?  The houses are so fun there!  They all have so many colors and so much personality!
Waiting to get on the Trolley on Castro street.  I'm looking up at the electrical-filled sky thinking "I hope there is not a lightning storm!"

The public transportation system is amazing there!  There is the Bart, the the Muni, The trolleys, the cable cars, the buses... eh!  I had a hard time keeping them all straight!  I would be lost in .05 seconds if I was on my own in this city!
Standing in front of the Bay Bridge.
This lady made us some cute earrings at a street fair.
The art of this city is amazing!
Gug, mom , and awesome Micah in front of Nicholas' favorite building in San Fran (the hard to see green one in back).  It is the Francis Ford Coppola building (The Godfather).  On our way walking to Dinner and a play with some of gug's friends/co-workers.  (I learned a few valuable lessons on this adventure... #1.  You Walk EVERYWHERE in San Fran- the play was about 2 miles away.  #2.  People do not care what you look like or how you dress.  #3.  You do NOT care how dang cute your 6 inch heels are after you have walked 2 miles in them... no one else cares either!  They really just look at you like you are crazy for wearing shoes like that anyway! #4.  Carry your ID (you'll learn why momentarily.) and #5 meatball pizza is actually amazing and not gross as one would have guessed.
Friends at "Tony's" Pizza- no, its not the same thing as the frozen ones from the grocery store!
The wonderfully funny Beach Blanket Babylon play we saw.... This is where the ID comes in... I don't normally carry my ID (why would I need it if I'm not driving right?!?)  but since they serve alcohol at the show they ID-ed EVERYONE.  NO exceptions...
Remember how we just walked 2 miles to get there?!?  Gug and I hopped in a cab and flew back to the hotel to get my License.  Don't worry, I changed my shoes while there as well!
Martha and Iman with us after the show.  It was fab.
Walking home... this cute little car sits in front of this cute little restaurant as advertisement.  SO cute!
Another spectacular shot of the hotel!

While we went to the show these 2 happy boys sat in the VIP section at the Giants game!  They were in HEAVEN!
Brunch in our hotel, Look at that beautiful ceiling!. . . oh and the guys aren't bad either!

Shopping on this cute "Maiden Lane"
And listening to this wonderful Opera singer as well!
Nicholas had grabbed us tickets on a "Hop on Hop off" tour bus and off we went...

They gave us the option of getting off at the Golden Gate Bridge to walk across it (1.7 miles) or to stay on and drive across... we were the only ones who hopped off the bus!  But we did it!  (and don't worry, I wore tennis shoes that day!)
It was so fun!  But you had to be very careful not to get run over by a bicyclist! (side note:  San Fran has a serious problem with bicyclists!  There have been 4 pedestrains KILLED recently due to being hit by someone riding a bike!  They now have to follow all traffic laws as if they were a car, we saw one getting a ticket for running a stop sign!)
There is Hope, make the call.  WARNING:  the results of jumping from this bridge are fatal and tragic.  Crisis phones along the way...

 SO beautiful and amazing!
And... we made it to the other side.

 The beautiful city behind us.
We hopped back on the bus to drive back over the bridge.

Dinner at Fisherman's Warf (everyone was in heaven with all the seafood,  I was searching the menu for something I could eat!)
Of course dad had to find a Harley shop...Thanks to Justin and his trusty phone!
Our hotel staircase (can you see me at the bottom?)
And inside joke with me and some random girl and our matching pants :)
We were having WAY too much fun!

 The ceiling at the mall.
Mom, Justin, and I entertaining ourselves while Nicholas tried on some clothes

This heart is in the middle of Union square.  It was painted by Mr. Tony Bennett himself.  You know, he sings the song "I Left My Heart In San Fransisco" Well, literally, he did!  That is also my mom's ringtone when Nicholas calls her :)
We were there the night of the biggest moon of the year so we walked to this beautiful photo-op spot and captured it.  I got ridiculed when I looked at the picture and said "I am such an amazing photographer".  Everyone laughed because I didn't TAKE the picture (obviously, I am in it!)  I posed us, which is what I was referring to :)
We met up with one of my dad's suppliers while there.  Chancey and his sweet wife Emily took us for Chinese brunch... which was so very kind of them and some of the strangest food I have every experienced.  Again, all the boys loved it!  They were so kind to take us and I was greatful for the cultural experience!
Off to Alcatraz!!  This was one of my favorite parts!
 Leaving the city behind us...

The view itself would be torture enough!

Inside joke again... we had lots of fun with this scarf... we strangled each other, twirled each other around, and teased a bunch... miss him!
Yummy... More seafood!! My dad's GIANT lobster tail!
Another inside joke from the trip, the nice man's finger in our picture.
 Love my crazy brother!
Riding on a Cable car!  LOVED IT!

 Lombard street!
Brunch on the way to the airport... :(  This last supper happened to be my favorite meal of the entire trip!  No fish!  Yay!!
Saying goodbye to my big brother... I was so sad to leave!!
We had SO much fun!!  I don't know how he lives in such a big city but he was indeed a marvelous tour guide!!

Thanks gug for the good times, secret spots, lots of laughs, and quality time.  I am still bitter you moved away from us but thankful for the chance to come and see you.  Miss you like crazy, love you even more!  And I WILL be coming back SOON to see you again!

Okay, you are just too cute! This trip looks awesome! I love all the fun pictures and seeing again, just how close you are to your family! I love it! I miss seeing you! I have really been contemplating coloring my hair again and you are seriously the only person that doesn't make me nervous to do so! Hopefully I will get the courage here soon because going 3-4 months between cutting is just ridiculous! :)
